RECONNECT TOOL
A Community Resource Tool
Individuals and communities vulnerable to COVID-19 have identified challenges in navigating the overwhelming volume of resources and services in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In response, our team has developed ReConnect, an interactive web-based tool that allows users to locate available services and supports in their respective communities. Resources are organized by service type (essentials, mental health, employment/training, childcare) and priority populations.

CHL5426 Population Perspectives for Epidemiology
This video was created for Dr. Arjumand Siddiqi for her CHL5426 Population Perspectives for Epidemiology course to highlight the data that is publicly available on COVID and how it can be used to fill gaps in the pandemic response. Our team focused on the ReConnect tool for this video, highlighting the gaps the tool was filling in the community, and how it led to the uncovering of additional evidence that showed the disproportionate impacts of COVID-19 on marginalized communities and individuals in our city.
